Keeping Going....

This morning I started with my new trainer and it was great...
Kami and Zac own energy Explosion that has moved to Spanish Fork.
I decided to do another 100 days with Brook.... This is going to be great. I had a lot of endurance and I was able to do what they threw at me. They do circut training so I was already used to that with Dallas...Great work out !!!

Great way to live

I have been reflecting over the last 3 months and I know I have learned many great lessons.. Ones that I have incorporated into my daily life. Making the choice of being healthy and having a feel of well being or living as I had for the last 46 years. I can do this.
Something that you all may not have known is I was trying to have a gastric bypass last summer. I was denied because at that time you had to be on the ins. for 2 years and I had went off it and came back on it. So now I have that choice.
I have decided That it will take me probably a year to get off the weight that I have accumulated but I know I can do it.. I want to thank Dallas for all his help and encouragement.. you rock and will do well in what ever road you take. I can't ever repay you for all you have sacrificed for us. But from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU !

Keeping motivated

I went to the gym last night and met a very nice young lady she recognized me from the challenge. She was very interested in the things we are doing..

I didn't think anyone but the people in our group was watching us but Hello people are.

It made me feel more motivated to keep this going. Like I am not just doing the challenge but after I need to keep it going.

I was so glad she said somthing it made me feel proud to know that I have been apart of this group. Thanks guys !!

Setting a example

I have learned new tools to better my health and the way I feel. I have had great support from family and friends. And also been able to set a example to them as well. One great thing that has came out of this challenge is my daughters are more active they go on walks with me and they are actually looking at labels to see the nutritional values of the food they are going to eat Yeah!!

keeping up my goals

I had to miss my work out on monday family duties.. So I went yesterday I could tell that I missed my routine up it was a hard workout and I have been doing this for a couple of weeks.
I got through it so I guess I need to stick to a schedule this just let me know that if I don't keep it up how fast you can slide the other way.

Dallas I miss you but I hope you are having a blast.

looking good

everyone I have seen is looking great. I can tell you I am feeling a lot more energy and fitting into some old jeans that I couldn't 1 year ago. Feels great!! I want to thanks Dallas for putting up with me.
He knows just when to push me past what I think I can do and then feeling great when I do..

Thank You Dallas. I only wish you would have put us gals in your suitcase so we could train with you in Hawaii... Have a great time.

Biker Biker

So this Weekend I bought my husband a bike not any peddle bike but a Heritage Softail Harley 2010. SOoo. I need to get my back and stomach mussles toned so I can ride on back and not die... We went for a 7 hr. ride this weekend and I will tell you that you need to be in shape to do this.. If this would have happened 1 month ago I would not have been able to do this but Thanks to Dallas I was able to do this.. We stopped frequently and walked and stretched out. It was a blast can't wait till this next weekend we are going with a group of people and the nice thing is that they belive that for every hr. you ride you need to water, walk and strech. One of the ladys acually joggs for 15 mins and walks for 10 each trip so this will be great to do with her.

holiday in town

So yesterday was the big 24th for Spanish Fork... Parade, carnival, food, food, more food.
I got to say that it was soooo hard to stick to my diet. and so many people that love me was trying to feed me just a little won't hurt. But the thing that I have come to realize is that if I start to do just a little it don't stop until it is to late. If I had a cup of ice and kept chewing on it I didn't have that hard of time resisting. But when i didn't it was hard as Hades's but got through the weekend OK. Had a great time with my family we walked all over town and I discovered that I had a relative that came to Utah with the last handcart company.. Anyway I think I came from strong stock.. So I can do what ever i put my mind to.. And this is the time to.

walking with a talker

I love my sister but when we walk she likes to talk talk talk.. my goal is to keep my heart rate up in the 130's while I am walking... so today I took my i-pod and gave it to her to listen to while we walked. she actually loved it and I got my heart rate up to 138 yeah... so i guess what i'm saying is sometimes i have to find creative ways to exerise. That way I can still reach my goal..

I have been ill with bronchtisis and have not been able work out. The steroids really played havick with my weight and blood sugars. I am feeling better and I am climbing back upon my horse, to work my hinney off.

Walking in Morning

I love walking in the morning. It is so neat to hear all the birds singing and the cool breeze. WOW sounds like a movie huh.. well I can say my endurance is getting much better and the stairs to the 5th floor don't seem so tall anymore. Not saying that I am not huffing and puffing when I get up there but I do recover faster. I have more energy. I'm loving this ride !!

Needed a little more coaxing today from self

I woke up this morning and it literally took everything I had to get out the door. Wow it is so easy to justify being LAZY for me.. But I gave myself a little pep talk and mustered up all my will to get out the door. I am so glad that I did.. I was a few minutes late and Aaron was about to give up on me.. Thanks you DUSTIN !! for NOT giving up on me I am so glad that I got there... The workout was great and I really do have a lot more energy once I get done... Now off to play. We are goinig to the Manti Miracle Pageant tonight but we are leaving early to go see the big city of Manti.

today I went on my walk and meet with my trainer Aaron. I had a good work out. This is getting fun !! I found a bread that has double fiber so I can have a sandwich every now and then it was a treat. Aaron is great and I look forward to meeting my goals with his help...

I have enjoyed walking in the early morning it gives me more energy through out the day and I can reflect how I am doing.

Today I didn't get my walk in I slept in and forgot to turn off my weekend off button. ): I helped my daughter move back home for the summer so got some what of a work out at least I feel like it tonight... will get up in the morning and go for my walk..see my pals and do the fathers day BBQ we will eat a lot different this year got some good Ideas on salmon and halibut for the BBQ... TURN on ALARM !!

Making new friends (:

So at my walk this morning my canine Friends said a loud Hello. I just smiled said hello and walked on. One of the owners came out and analogized. I said " It's OK he don't know me but he will and he will get to love me"... so I will keep walking and soon with the grace of god the barking will quite down and I will be greeted with a wagging tail instead... I'm looking forward to it.. (:
Today also was the day to meet the dietitian got some valuable info. that I will put in use..
